Burn Plans

Burn Plans

If your burn is larger than two hectares in area you need to have a burn plan approved by the Permit Officer before lighting up. Download the Burning Plan (pdf 189 KB )also available in Word ( 993 KB) format. To contact your local fire permit officer call the Tasmania Fire Service on: freecall 1800 000 699

If your burn is smaller than two hectares you do not need to have a burn plan approved but you should use the Vegetation Burn Checklist to assist in planning your burn. Download the Vegetation Burn Checklist (35 KB).

Stubble burns are exempt from the requirement to have a burn plan approved but you should use the Stubble Burn Checklist to assist in planning your stubble burns. Download the Stubble Burn Checklist (36 KB).
