2024 State Firefighter Championships
The 2024 State Firefighter Championships - Saturday 9 & Sunday 10 November 2024.
A total of 211 competitors made up of 19 Senior teams and 14 Junior teams battled it out over the weekend and a wonderful weekend had by everyone. Although the weather got cool and windy on Saturday, the sunshine on Sunday was welcomed by everyone.
This year’s awards selection process proved to be particularly challenging due to the exceptional performance of all brigades. I am proud to report that, across the board, every brigade has truly elevated their contributions, making it clear that they have worked hard to go "up a level" with their training and their commitment to upholding high standards.
Given this, deciding on the award recipients was no easy task. The Committee would like to their gratitude for everyone’s efforts and contributions. It’s a privilege to work alongside such dedicated professionals, and we are confident that our organisation will continue to reach new heights in the coming year.
Thank you again to each of you for making this decision so difficult—in the best possible way.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING ELECTION
The Annual General Meeting Election was held on Sunday, 25 August 2024.
President Robert Atkins AFSM withdrew his nomination for President making way for Vice-President Steven Richardson to step into the role.
Rob will continue with the Committee as Vice-President and we would like to acknowledge his continued support and contribution as a highly valued member of the team.
The Committee would also like to acknowledge the contribution of outgoing Executive Officer Kim Brundle-Lawrence and welcome Alicia Styles to the role.

CONSTITUTION
Amendments have been made to the Constitution of the TFBCA to be ratified at the AGM on 25 August 2024 (version 1.5 approved on 22/06/2023) and can be viewed here.
